My wife and I are expats living in Voorhout. When the time came to select a school for our son we, like many, were not certain where to start. A poster at the kindergarten, however, was advertising an open day a the Montessorischool Noordwijlk and we decided to come and take a look. Our son was only about three at the time, but he came into the classroom and immediately started to explore and play with materials available. As parents we knew at once that he would be comfortable in the school.
The school has exceed our expectations and really helps children to take the initiative, and encourages a desire to explore and discover. The teachers help the children to grow by fitting in the fundamentals of education around the child’s own interests. We also see strong social interaction between the children and a responsibility to look out and look after others. For example, new arrivals in the class always just fit right in without much difficulty and within a few days it is like they have been there for months.
But don’t just take my word for it. Come to an Open Day and discover how the school operates and how comfortable it is for your child.
